In November, I conducted a trip to Cambodia, Philippines and Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. A trip I made many times before, but this time it was my journey very different from previous trips I made to my beloved Philippines. As many of you recall, dta 5 the Philippines has been hit by both a strong earthquake but also a very strong typhoon, the dreaded Yolanda who pulled dta 5 out of some parts of the Visayan region.
The island of Bohol was just before my departure from an earthquake and Visayan region where both Bohol and Cebu is a part, was hit by the big typhoon Yolanda. It was nice to be with your own eyes to see that all of my loved ones were unharmed and in good spirits. However, there is much to restore to many people in these surroundings. Somehow everyday life still continue, in one form or another. dta 5
The school children "in my village" has been off from school for three weeks just because. all the aftershocks that occurred after the massive earthquake. dta 5 Myself I did not know if I would be able to take me to my friends in Bohol because three bridges received extensive damage. I saw many houses completely collapsed and many craters on the roads, but on the whole everything was the same, at least in appearance.
Several of my friends who lived on the islands his entire life had never been in an earthquake, however, they have more experience of severe weather and strong waves. Most of the friends live directly on the shoreline.
My diving on the island of Malapascua, I got set up because everyone was in the process dta 5 of trying to restore the buildings, etc.. But for me, it really felt like an in-country problems to opt out of certain islands and then choose hotels with both water and generators for electricity. Power is stil. to and from completely gone while the other islands dta 5 function as usual.
It is always so pleasant and friendly to greet my friend L. who lives right on the beach and always served fresh coconut fruit for both the meat and the juice sake. Here is one of the house workers recovered down some coconut fruit to me and my accompanying guests.
What fun to read about your trip and see some pictures even if this time, unfortunately, was a trip that must have been extra difficult. Nice to hug their loved ones and ensure that they are safe and doing well, yet so difficult to both see with their own eyes and hear about the difficult trials of hit by natural they have been through lately. Man beundarar them to still manages to stay in good spirits. I hope fervently that everything gets better soon and that everyday life can be restored to them. I'm glad you could still implement your travel and meet with students and friends. Every time I buy a mango so I always remember your mangos that you taught and told so much about. Hope to some day be able to have the chance to taste one of these mangos from your island Hugs and good continuation ReplyDelete
I called Katta and after a few years abroad in the United States, the Philippines and Malaysia have returned to Sweden. Life has many twists and brought many wonderful encounters with interesting people, cultures, food and fragrances. I believe dta 5 life is to be lived in, not just for dreams.
